The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMET) has forecast light morning showers, mist and afternoon thunderstorms across parts of the country on Friday as an active rainstorm system moves westward from neighbouring Nigeria. In its 18-hour weather forecast issued at 6:00 a.m., the Agency advised the public to expect changing weather conditions throughout the day, with thunderstorms likely in many areas by the afternoon and evening. A former security guard has been sentenced to three years and four months in prison after stealing £117,200 from a bank in the United Kingdom and fleeing to Ghana to evade arrest for nearly four years.
