The World Health Organization (WHO) has raised the public health risk from the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) from “high” to “very high”. The National Identification Authority (NIA) says it is introducing major reforms to strengthen Ghana’s identity system. The changes will make biometric verification mandatory for all transactions.
