The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has prevented a major disaster after a fuel tanker crashed and spilled diesel on the Konongo–Accra Highway. The incident happened on Tuesday, May 19, at Odumasi Three Lane near Konongo in the Ashanti Region. The tanker, a Shacman vehicle with registration number GE 1337-18, was carrying about 54,000 litres of diesel.
