The Ghana Football Association has secured another major corporate partnership after global automobile brand JAC Motors unveiled a strategic collaboration aimed at supporting Ghana football through vehicle rewards and commercial investment.
The partnership, announced at the GFA headquarters in Accra on Tuesday, will see league champions, outstanding players and top-performing coaches rewarded with brand-new vehicles at the end of the 2026/27 football season.
The agreement marks another step in the GFA’s efforts to attract private-sector investment into domestic football and strengthen the commercial appeal of the local game.
Under the partnership, the champions of both the Ghana Premier League and the Women’s Premier League will each receive a new vehicle.
Individual awards will also come with major incentives, as the Best Player and Coach of the Season in both the men’s and women’s leagues will drive home brand-new cars.
The vehicle package will include models such as:
- JAC JS2
- JAC JS4
- JAC JS6
The partnership is being implemented through Tryton Motors Ltd, the authorised Ghanaian distributor of JAC Motors.
Speaking during the unveiling ceremony, GFA Vice-President Mark Addo described the agreement as another important milestone in the federation’s growing portfolio of commercial partnerships.
“This partnership with JAC Motors represents another significant addition to our expanding family of valued sponsors and strategic partners,” he said.
“We are delighted to welcome JAC Motors into the Ghana football ecosystem at a time when the Football Association continues to pursue meaningful collaborations that support the growth and sustainability of the game at every level.”
The deal comes as the Black Stars continue preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup while domestic football authorities seek to improve the commercial value and financial sustainability of local competitions.
Chief Executive Officer of Tryton Motors Ltd, Jihad Hijazi, said the collaboration reflected a long-term commitment to football development in Ghana.
“Today, we are proud to formalise this partnership between Tryton Motors Limited and the Ghana Football Association, a collaboration built on shared ambition, long-term growth and meaningful impact for Ghana football,” he stated.
“This partnership goes beyond sponsorship. It represents a deliberate commitment to supporting an ecosystem that plays an important role in national identity, talent development and the future of sports in Ghana.”
According to Mr Hijazi, the company’s support will focus on three key areas:
- The Black Stars’ 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign
- The Ghana Premier League
- The Women’s Premier League
Group Business Development Director of Tryton Motors, Fadi Fattal, said the partnership aims to improve the visibility and commercial value of Ghana football while promoting grassroots participation and fan engagement.
He explained that the collaboration would also support women’s football development and nationwide fan activations.
The agreement introduces one of the most significant performance-based reward systems seen in Ghanaian football in recent years.
Industry observers believe the initiative could increase competition levels within the domestic leagues while elevating the prestige associated with winning titles and individual honours.
Senior GFA officials present at the ceremony included General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo and Executive Council members Samuel Aboabire and Frederick Acheampong, alongside representatives from JAC Motors and Tryton Motors Ltd.
