According to notices issued by the power distributor, the maintenance works will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the affected areas, with restoration times varying depending on the scale of work.

A planned maintenance exercise is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., affecting several communities including Edwenase, Kwadaso, Nwamase, Apire, Ampatia, Bebu, Dako, Adumasa, Ampabame No.1 and No.2, Mpatasie, Trede, Sabin Akrofrom, Takyiman, Denkyembouso, Ohuwmasi, Hill Top, parts of Asouyeboa, parts of Tanoso, Yabi, Merewadwa, Kokode, Aburaso, Kromoase, Akyeremade, Chichibon, Gyekye, Dida, Odeneho Kwadaso, OWASS, Agric Amanfrom, Santasi, Fankyenebra, Apemanim, Boko, Twedie, Foase, Manso Nkwanta, Antoakrom, Nweneso, Manso Adubia, and surrounding areas.
Planned maintenance works will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., affecting Fiji Articulator Park and nearby communities. An emergency maintenance operation is also scheduled within the same period, impacting Aboso township, Damang, Fante Mines, Bogoso Junction, New Site, Budo City, and adjoining areas.
The scheduled works follow technical faults that disrupted supply in Accra West on Thursday, May 14. A fault at Pentecost Junction interrupted power to Borkorborkor, Numbotse, Afuaman, Manhean, Mallam Issah, and surrounding communities. Engineers were deployed to restore service.
In a separate incident, a punctured underground cable at Mango Lane caused outages in Weija Junction, Menskrom, Jayee University College, Regent University College of Science and Technology, Mango Lane, and adjoining communities, disrupting activities at both tertiary institutions.
ECG has apologised to affected customers for the inconvenience caused by both the scheduled maintenance and unexpected faults. The company assured the public that engineers are working diligently to resolve the challenges, stressing that the maintenance exercises are essential to strengthening the reliability and stability of the power distribution network across the affected regions.
