The Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry has begun preparations for a proposed Ghana-US Chamber of Commerce Trade Mission scheduled for May 30 to June 5, 2026.

The Ministry held a high-level meeting on Wednesday, May 20, to assess Ghana’s readiness for the visit.

Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Sampson Ahi, chaired the meeting on behalf of the sector minister.

Officials from agencies under the Ministry also attended the discussions.

The meeting focused on key projects and investment opportunities that Ghana plans to present to the visiting delegation.

According to the Deputy Minister, the proposed trade mission follows a recent visit by President John Dramani Mahama to the US Chamber of Commerce in the United States.

He said the visit helped strengthen engagement between Ghana and the Chamber.

The Ministry said preparations also aim to improve coordination among state institutions ahead of the mission.

Planned activities include investment roundtables and business-to-business meetings.

The engagements are expected to strengthen trade and investment ties between Ghana and the United States.

The discussions will focus on sectors such as agriculture, agribusiness, renewable energy, and technology.
