The Ghana Police Service in the Western Region has declared an Arabic teacher, Sule Anas, wanted in connection with allegations of defilement and unnatural carnal knowledge involving two minors at Fijai Zongo Central near Sekondi.

A statement issued on May 21, 2026, by the Western Regional Police Command and signed by Superintendent Olivia E.T. Adiku said the suspect was engaged by community leaders to teach Arabic to children during weekend sessions.

Police investigations suggest the suspect allegedly lured the victims into a storeroom inside a mosque under the guise of performing spiritual cleansing rituals.

The alleged offences are said to have taken place at that location.

The police confirmed that a warrant for the suspect’s arrest was issued by the Gender Court Sekondi on May 20, 2026.

He is described as fair in complexion and about 5.7 feet tall.

Authorities believe the suspect may have fled to either Côte d’Ivoire or Togo as efforts to locate him continue.

The Western Regional Police Command has urged the public to provide credible information that could lead to his arrest.

The public has been advised to report to the nearest police station, contact the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), or call emergency lines 191 or 112.
