President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, has expressed strong confidence in the Black Stars, stating that the team is now well-prepared to compete against any opponent.

His remarks come ahead of Ghana’s upcoming international friendlies, including a high-profile clash against Germany national football team as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted across Mexico, Canada, and United States.

Ghana is scheduled to face Austria national football team on Friday, March 27, before taking on Germany on March 30 during the international break.

Speaking ahead of the matches, Mr Okraku noted a shift in the team’s mentality and preparedness, highlighting the work done by head coach Otto Addo and his technical team.

“A few years ago, a fixture like Ghana versus Germany would have caused fear,” he said. “But today, there is a new level of confidence within the team.”

He credited the coaching staff for building what he described as strong “intangible assets,” including team cohesion, belief, and tactical discipline—factors he believes will enable the Black Stars to perform at the highest level.

Mr Okraku expressed optimism that the team’s recent progress will translate into strong performances, adding that the Black Stars are determined to make the nation proud as they continue preparations for the global tournament.
