Melania Trump denies ties to Jeffrey Epstein

U.S. First Lady Melania Trump has strongly denied any connection to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, describing allegations linking her to him as false and defamatory.

In a rare public address at the White House on April 9, 2026, Melania Trump said she had “never had a relationship” with Epstein or his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. She emphasized that any claims suggesting otherwise were “baseless lies” that should come to an end.

The First Lady acknowledged that she and her husband may have crossed paths with Epstein in social settings years ago but insisted there was no personal relationship or involvement in his activities. She also clarified that a resurfaced 2002 email exchange with Maxwell was merely “casual correspondence” and did not indicate any deeper connection.

Beyond defending her reputation, Melania Trump used the moment to shift attention toward victims of Epstein’s crimes. She called on the U.S. Congress to organize a public hearing that would allow survivors to share their experiences openly.

According to her, such a hearing would provide a platform for victims to testify, contribute to the public record, and help bring greater transparency and accountability to the long-running case.

“Each and every woman should have her day to tell her story, “she said, underscoring the need for justice and recognition for survivors.

The statement comes amid renewed attention on the Epstein scandal following the release of additional government documents and ongoing political scrutiny in the United States.

Epstein, who died in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, has remained at the center of controversy due to his connections with powerful figures across politics, business, and entertainment.

Melania Trump’s remarks have reignited public debate, not only about her alleged links but also about the broader network surrounding Epstein and the need for accountability.

Observers note that the First Lady’s decision to speak publicly is unusual, given her typically low-profile role in political controversies. Her statement appears aimed at both protecting her personal reputation and addressing growing public interest in the Epstein case.

At the same time, her call for survivor-focused hearings signals an attempt to redirect the conversation toward justice for victims rather than speculation about high-profile individuals.

Melania Trump’s firm denial and her appeal for congressional hearings mark a significant moment in the ongoing Epstein saga. While she seeks to distance herself from the controversy, her intervention may intensify calls for transparency and renewed investigation.

Ultimately, her message combines personal defense with a broader demand: that the voices of survivors be heard and that the truth of the Epstein case be fully brought to light.
