    Creative Sector Must Help Inspire Black Stars, Says Princess Jannis

    With the FIFA World Cup fast approaching, creative entrepreneur and Chief Executive Officer of the Princess Jannis Foundation and Omega Instant Chocolate Mix, Princess Jannis Acheampong, has urged players in Ghana’s creative industry to intensify efforts to support the Black Stars ahead of the global tournament.

    According to her, the national team requires the collective backing of all Ghanaians, particularly influential figures within the entertainment and creative sectors, to boost morale and rekindle enthusiasm among supporters.

    Her appeal comes at a time when confidence in the Black Stars has been tested by a series of recent draws and the absence of key players, including Mohammed Kudus and former captain Dede Ayew, from the current squad.

    Princess Jannis noted that although some musicians have already contributed to the national team’s campaign through music, there is room for broader participation from the creative community.

    She singled out artistes such as Kofi Kinaata and Akwaboah for releasing songs aimed at inspiring the Black Stars and uniting supporters, but encouraged other creatives to use their platforms to generate excitement and optimism around the team.

    Speaking in a recent interview, Princess Jannis expressed confidence in the quality of the Black Stars squad and their ability to compete with some of the world’s strongest football nations.

    “The Black Stars have talented players and a good technical team. As Ghanaians, we must continue to support them and believe in them. Our encouragement can make a huge difference,” she said.

    She praised the determination and resilience of the players, arguing that despite the challenges the team has faced in recent years, they still possess the talent and character needed to make the nation proud on football’s biggest stage.

    Princess Jannis also called on the players to remain focused, disciplined and united throughout the competition.

    “Ghanaians are behind the team fully. We believe the Black Stars can go far if they stay committed and play with confidence,” she stated.

    Beyond the players, she appealed to football fans across the country to offer constructive support rather than harsh criticism when performances fall short of expectations.

    According to her, positive public backing can significantly boost the confidence of the squad and motivate the players to deliver their best throughout the tournament.

    She further commended the technical team for their preparations ahead of the World Cup and expressed optimism that Ghana could exceed expectations.

    Princess Jannis emphasised that football remains one of the country’s most powerful symbols of national unity, capable of bringing together people from diverse backgrounds in pursuit of a common goal.

    As anticipation builds ahead of the tournament, she believes that a coordinated effort by football supporters, entertainers and creatives can help generate the energy and encouragement needed to inspire the Black Stars to another memorable World Cup campaign.
