    Celtics Jump Out to Early Lead and Never Look Back

    In a Monday night NBA matchup at TD Garden, the Boston Celtics delivered a convincing 102–94 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, never trailing throughout the contest as they regained momentum in the 2025–26 season.

    Early Run Sets the Tone

    The Celtics came out with energy right from the opening tip, sprinting to a 32–11 first-quarter lead that put the Trail Blazers on the back foot early. Boston never relinquished control, showcasing balanced offense and stout defense to keep Portland at bay throughout the game.

    Payton Pritchard led the Celtics with 23 points, including clutch buzzer-beaters to close both the first and second quarters, while Jaylen Brown added 20 points and contributed on both ends of the floor. Derrick White chipped in with 18 points, hitting a key three-pointer in the final minute to help seal the win.

    Trail Blazers Fight but Fall Short

    For Portland, Jerami Grant paced the scoring with 19 points, and Toumani Camara and Jrue Holiday provided solid offensive support, but the Blazers were unable to overcome Boston’s fast start. Despite outscoring the Celtics in the second, third, and fourth quarters, Portland simply couldn’t erase the early deficit.

    The Blazers have shown flashes of competitiveness this season, including a previous win over Boston last December, but inconsistent shooting and turnovers plagued them in this matchup.

    Celtics’ Home Strength and Crowd Moments

    Monday’s game also featured emotional moments for Celtics fans, including a tribute video honoring former Celtics Jrue Holiday and Robert Williams upon their return to � TD Garden. The crowd’s energy helped fuel Boston’s dominant performance.

    Boston’s win continues a trend of strong performances at home, where the Celtics have often used early offensive bursts to dictate the pace of play against conference opponents.

    What This Means Moving Forward

    The victory strengthens Boston’s position in the Eastern Conference as playoff seeding battles intensify. Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers will look to regroup and find offensive efficiency as they continue their road slate.
