The suspects were apprehended in operations conducted at Lapaz, Narhman, Tarkwa, and Kumasi. The government has approved the reintroduction of special tribunals to speed up the handling of corruption and illicit wealth cases, according to government spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu. Ghana’s external debt took a big dip, dropping by GH¢86.7 billion from GH¢416.8 billion in December 2024 to GH¢330.2 billion in November 2025, according to the Bank of Ghana’s Monetary Policy Report.
