Former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has unveiled new initiatives under the Asamoah Gyan Foundation aimed at discovering and developing young football talent across Ghana.

The foundation plans to roll out several youth-focused programmes, including football academy projects and a nationwide tournament designed to identify promising players and support their growth.

Speaking on Channel One TV’s World Cup Central, Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, Samuel Anim Addo, encouraged parents to involve the foundation early if their children show interest and potential in football.

“If you want your kid to make it, come early. We are praying and believing that those who want us to help them will come early. If you don’t come early, development becomes difficult,” he said.

According to him, the foundation is preparing for an upcoming trip and will officially launch a major initiative titled The Art of Goal Scoring upon its return.

Anim Addo also revealed that the foundation will introduce its academy projects in collaboration with partners, as well as a football tournament scheduled to take place after the upcoming World Cup.

He stressed that the foundation remains committed to using football as a tool for youth empowerment and talent development.

“We are not going to stop. He has been blessed with the talent, the gift and the aura to inspire and impact. He’s been inspiring generations,” he said, referring to Asamoah Gyan’s dedication to supporting Ghanaian football.

The initiative is expected to provide structured training opportunities for young footballers while helping to nurture the next generation of football stars in Ghana.
