Benjamin Quaye, son of the late Ghana football legend Shamo Quaye, has officially become a FIFA-licensed football agent and launched 10 & 21 Sports Agency, a new player management firm aimed at nurturing football talent in Ghana and beyond.

Benjamin earned his licence after successfully passing the FIFA Football Agent Examination, joining the growing list of accredited agents authorised to represent players, negotiate transfers and provide career guidance in line with FIFA regulations.

The launch of his agency marks a new chapter inspired by the legacy of his father, one of Ghana’s most celebrated footballers.

    Honouring Shamo Quaye’s legacy

Speaking about the new venture, Benjamin said the agency was established to create opportunities for talented footballers while preserving the legacy of his late father.

“The agency is about creating opportunities for players while honouring my father’s legacy,” Benjamin said in an interview on July 20, 2026.

“I want to help young footballers navigate their careers with integrity, professionalism and the right support system.”

The name 10 & 21 Sports Agency pays tribute to the iconic jersey numbers worn by Shamo Quaye during his playing career.

Shamo Quaye famously wore the number 10 shirt for Ghana’s national team, Accra Hearts of Oak and Saudi Arabian club Al Qadsiah. During his spell with Sweden’s Umeå FC, he wore the number 21 jersey, which the club later retired in his honour following his death.

    Supporting the next generation

Benjamin said the agency’s vision extends beyond negotiating player contracts and transfers. It will also focus on career planning, mentorship, talent scouting and building international networks to help emerging footballers achieve long-term success.

“My goal is not only to represent players but to build lasting relationships that help them grow on and off the pitch. I want to contribute to Ghanaian football by creating pathways for talented players to succeed internationally,” he said.

He believes Ghana continues to produce outstanding football talent that deserves professional guidance from an early stage to maximise opportunities both locally and abroad.

    Promoting professionalism in football

The launch of 10 & 21 Sports Agency comes at a time when African football continues to receive increased global attention, creating greater demand for professional player representation and structured career management.

Benjamin Quaye says he hopes the agency will become a trusted name in football management by upholding the values of integrity, excellence and professionalism while helping shape the next generation of Ghanaian football stars.
