A planned collaboration between Davido and Wande Coal has turned into a public disagreement after both musicians gave different accounts of why the song was never released.

An unreleased song has suddenly turned into a full-blown music-industry drama. Nigerian music stars Davido and Wande Coal have publicly clashed over their unreleased collaboration, “Come My Way,” with both artistes offering different versions of what happened to the song. The disagreement began after Davido spoke about the collaboration, prompting Wande Coal to respond publicly.

    How It Started

Davido reportedly explained that Wande Coal had approached him about recording a verse for the song. According to Davido’s account, he later discovered that Wande planned to release the original version before the version featuring him, which reportedly became a point of disagreement. The song consequently remained unreleased, leaving fans wondering what could have been another major Afrobeats collaboration.

    Wande Coal Fires Back

Wande Coal did not allow Davido’s comments to go unanswered. The singer pushed back strongly, arguing that “Come My Way” had already performed well without Davido’s involvement, and questioned why the collaboration was now being discussed publicly. His response quickly spread across social media, turning what had been a private disagreement over an unreleased track into an entertainment talking point. Fans have since been debating both sides, with some wondering whether the collaboration could still happen while others are simply enjoying the unexpected back-and-forth between two established Afrobeat stars.

    Fans Want the Song

Ironically, the controversy may have created even more interest in the unreleased track. With both artistes now discussing the song publicly, fans are asking whether they should simply put their differences aside and release it. For now, however, there is no confirmed indication that the collaboration will officially drop.

What was once an unreleased collaboration has suddenly become one of the hottest conversations in Nigerian music, with fans now more curious than ever to hear the song.

After all this drama, would you still want Davido and Wande Coal to release “Come My Way”?
