Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle, has been elected Second Vice President of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP).

Her election is seen as a boost for Ghana’s influence within the African Union system. It strengthens the country’s role in shaping policy and legislative debates at the continental level.

The Pan-African Parliament serves as a platform to promote integration, cooperation, and democratic governance among member states. It also provides advisory input on key issues affecting the continent.

In her new role, Zanetor Rawlings will serve on the PAP Bureau, helping to guide the Parliament’s work and direction. She is expected to contribute to legislative priorities, institutional growth, and strategic planning.

Her position will also see her take part in high-level discussions on governance, democracy, and development across Africa.

Her elevation highlights Ghana’s growing presence in regional and international governance. It also reinforces her role as an emerging voice in African parliamentary diplomacy.
