Actor Prince David Osei has taken a jab at President Mahama over the persistent power outages experienced across major parts of the country recently. The actor, who is also a strong supporter of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), alleged in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the name Mahama has become synonymous with power outages, also referred to as “Dumsor.
He pointed to the previous administration of President Mahama (2012-2016), which was characterized by persistent power outages that affected a lot of households and businesses, and the recent administration (2025-2027), which is facing the same situation. Prince David Osei added that despite the nation’s energy problems, electricity prices are still very high. He ended the post admonishing the president that Ghanaians deserved better.
