Ghana’s Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has added a major academic achievement to his credentials after earning a Master of Laws (LLM) in Professional Legal Practice.
The minister announced the milestone in a Facebook post on Wednesday, revealing that he graduated earlier in the day from The University of Law during a ceremony held at the Barbican Centre in London.
According to him, he enrolled in the programme in 2023 and successfully completed it in 2025, despite taking a break in 2024 to focus on election campaign activities.

Describing the journey as “a pretty challenging endeavour,” Mr. George noted that he had to balance academic work with the demands of public office and other phases of his life.
“The Master of Laws in Professional Legal Practice qualifies me as a Solicitor of England and Wales,” he stated, highlighting the professional significance of the qualification.
He expressed hope that his achievement would inspire others to pursue ambitions they may have postponed. “You never know what you can achieve until you start,” he encouraged.
