The Ghanaian artistes have reunited for their second collaboration, bringing a fresh Afrobeat-inspired sound to their growing catalogue.

King Paluta and Takyi Kay are back together, and this time they are coming with another track for Ghanaian music lovers. The two Ghanaian musicians have teamed up on a new single titled “Fa Ma Me,” giving fans another collaboration following their earlier song “Free Your Mind.”The new track was released on August 14, 2026, and has already been receiving attention within Ghana’s music space.
A Second Collaboration
“Fa Ma Me” marks another musical link-up between Takyi Kay and King Paluta. The song was produced by Apya, with the production combining Takyi Kay’s vocal style with King Paluta’s energetic delivery and punchlines. The collaboration also represents another step in Takyi Kay’s attempt to connect Ghana’s traditional highlife sound with newer Afrobeat and contemporary influences.
Why Takyi Kay Is Getting Attention
Takyi Kay, whose real name is Eric Kwadwo Takyi, comes from a strong musical background. He is the grandson of legendary highlife musician Alex Konadu, popularly known as “One Man Thousand.”He has also worked with established Ghanaian musicians including Nana Acheampong, the late Yaw Sarpong, Nana Tuffour, and the late Daddy Lumba. His collaboration with King Paluta has therefore helped introduce his sound to a wider audience.
What ‘Fa Ma Me’ Brings
The new song follows their earlier collaboration, “Free Your Mind,” but takes a more contemporary direction. The track combines Takyi Kay’s highlife influence with King Paluta’s modern Ghanaian rap and hiplife energy. With the song now available across streaming platforms, the two artistes will be hoping the collaboration can move beyond Ghana and reach a wider African audience.
King Paluta and Takyi Kay have once again joined forces, proving that collaborations between established and emerging Ghanaian sounds can create something fresh.
