British rapper, Oakley Neil Caesar-Su, popularly known as Central Cee, has revealed that he has converted to Islam. The Band 4 Band crooner revealed that he has shared his name consequently. The rapper disclosed this during a recent livestream.

“I just changed my name and took my shahada, I am a muslim now,” he revealed, with his friends congratulating him in the video. Prior to his most recent revelation, Central Cee had not officially declared a religion. Central Cee was born on 4 June 1998 in London to an English mother and a father of Guyanese and Chinese ancestry.

When he was seven, his parents divorced. He was raised in Shepherd’s Bush with his mother and two younger brothers. Central Cee began his music career with an appearance on a now-deleted episode of Fire in the Streets series in 2014.

His first song appearance was on the Ain’t On Nuttin Remix alongside J Hus and more in January 2015. On June 14, 2020, he released his breakthrough single, “Day in the Life.”

Since his debut, Central Cee has earned the status of a superstar in the UK drill music scene.
