The High Court in Accra has granted bail of GH¢100,000 to Kwame Baffoe, the Bono Regional Chairman of the Kwame Baffoe (Abronye DC), pending trial.

The ruling was delivered by Justice Bankole Thompson.

The court granted bail with two sureties, who must justify their status.

As part of the conditions, the accused must report to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Headquarters every two weeks.

He has also been ordered to surrender his travel documents to the court registry.

The court further restricted him from travelling outside the jurisdiction without prior approval.

Counsel for the applicant, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, moved the bail application. He was led by former Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame.

The Deputy Attorney-General, Justice Srem-Sai, told the court that the prosecution did not oppose the bail request.

After hearing both sides, the court granted bail under the stated conditions.
