Keche Joshua has spoken for the first time after Joana Gyan Cudjoe ended her seven-year professional relationship with Keche Global, insisting the decision was mutual and did not destroy their personal bond.

When news broke that Joana Gyan Cudjoe had ended her seven-year professional relationship with Keche Global, many people immediately wondered whether something had gone wrong behind the scenes. The speculation grew even louder because Joana is not only the former manager, investor, and executive producer of the group; she is also Keche Andrew’s wife. Now, Keche Joshua has stepped forward to clear the air. Speaking on Hitz 103.9 FM, Joshua said the development had generated calls from major personalities in the Ghanaian music industry who wanted to know whether the group was facing a serious internal problem.
Joshua Sets the Record Straight
Joshua insisted that there was no dramatic fallout.
He explained that the decision was reached mutually by Joana, Keche and the GEM Multimedia team.
“The mutual thing we agreed, Andrew’s wife agreed, that the whole team of GEM Multimedia agreed, that Keche can start doing their thing now.”
He also made an important distinction between the business arrangement and the relationship they have built over the years.
“She’s still our wife.”
Seven Years of Joana’s Investment
Joana’s partnership with Keche began in 2019 and involved much more than management. Through GEM Multimedia, she supported the duo with music production, videos, branding, marketing, artist development, travel, performances, and other professional activities. She also helped rebrand the group from Keche to Keche Global, with the intention of taking their music beyond Ghana. But with the agreement now expired and Joana choosing not to renew it, Keche Global will operate independently.
It Is Business, Not Marriage
Perhaps the biggest clarification from the development is that Joana and Keche Andrew remain married. The end of the professional arrangement does not mean the end of their family relationship. That distinction has become necessary because the combination of marriage and business made the announcement particularly easy for social media users to misinterpret.
After seven years of working together, Joana Gyan Cudjoe and Keche Global are taking separate professional paths. But according to Keche Joshua, there is no bitter ending here, just a business arrangement that has reached its end.
Do you think keeping marriage and business separate could ultimately be better for Joana and Keche Andrew?
