Police in Ghana have arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting incident at the Adjin Kotoku Onion Market that occurred on 5 April 2026.

According to the Ghana Police Service, a special surveillance team operating under the Special Operations Assistant to the Inspector-General of Police was deployed to the area after the incident to carry out an intelligence-led operation.

On 8 April at around 3:00 pm, officers apprehended a 40-year-old suspect, Inusah Seidu, at his hideout in Adjin Kotoku. Authorities believe he played a role in the shooting.

The suspect is currently in custody and assisting with ongoing investigations. Police say efforts are continuing to track down and arrest other individuals believed to be connected to the incident.
