Ghanaian renowned rapper Dadie Opanka has expressed his readiness to serve under President John Dramani Mahama, particularly as a financial adviser. Speaking in an Instagram interview with Nana Romeo on 14 January 2026, in a recent statement to political leader John Mahama, Opanka emphasized that his professional experience equips him to provide practical solutions for economic challenges. “My financial advisory background equips me to help strengthen the economy,” he said, underlining his commitment to leveraging his expertise for the country’s benefit.

Opanka, who has long been known for his influence in the arts and business sectors, stressed the importance of combining financial insight with national policy to create sustainable growth. He pointed out that navigating today’s economic climate requires both strategic planning and practical implementation, areas where his advisory experience can make a tangible difference.

In an interview with Nana Romeo, shared on Instagram on 14 January 2026, Opanka revealed that he is particularly keen to contribute as a financial adviser. Opanka also praised President Mahama for his efforts in revitalizing the economy. He highlighted that, within his first year in office, the President has managed to ease the burden of the high cost of living.

Clarifying his political stance, Opanka noted that he does not align with any particular party, emphasizing that his commendation of Mahama’s government is impartial.

Political analysts say Opanka’s engagement could mark a significant intersection between professional expertise and public service, highlighting a growing trend of industry leaders stepping into advisory and policy roles to support national development.

As Ghana continues to seek solutions to economic challenges, voices like Opanka’s underscore the potential for private-sector experience to inform public decision-making and drive meaningful change.
