Court Grants Ebo Noah GH₵100k Bail, Sets March 18 for Next Hearing

The court has granted Ebo Noah bail in the sum of GH₵100,000 with two sureties, following his appearance in court on Tuesday. The case has been adjourned to March 18 for further proceedings.

Ebo Noah, who is facing charges yet to be fully determined by the court, was granted bail after his legal team made a formal application, arguing that he is not a flight risk and is willing to cooperate fully with the judicial process. The court, after considering the submissions from both the defense and the prosecution, ruled in favor of bail under strict conditions.

As part of the bail terms, the accused is required to provide two sureties who must be justified to the satisfaction of the court. The judge emphasized that the conditions are intended to ensure Ebo Noah’s availability for trial while allowing him temporary freedom pending the continuation of the case.

Self-proclaimed Ghanaian prophet Evans Eshun, better known as Ebo Noah, was granted bail with two sureties following his second court appearance in Accra on Thursday, 15 January 2026.

Ebo Noah and an alleged accomplice appeared before the Adenta Circuit Court in Frafraha after spending two weeks in police custody. Before this, the social media figure had undergone a psychiatric evaluation at Pantang Psychiatric Hospital, following his initial court appearance on 2 January 2026.
The 24-year-old was arrested on the orders of the Inspector General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, on 31 December 2025. His detention was widely publicized after images of him in handcuffs circulated across news platforms. Reports stated that the IGP’s Special Cyber Vetting Team carried out the arrest, and that Ebo Noah faced charges including false communication, deliberately misleading the public, and publishing false news intended to cause fear and panic.

Prosecutors did not oppose the adjournment but indicated that further investigations and witness preparation are ongoing. The court subsequently fixed March 18 as the next date for hearing.

The development marks a significant step in the case, as bail allows the accused to prepare his defense outside of custody. Legal observers note that the court’s decision aligns with the principle that bail should be granted unless there are compelling reasons to deny it.

Ebo Noah is expected to meet all bail conditions ahead of the next court sitting, where the matter will proceed in accordance with due process.
