Award-winning MC and media personality MC Portfolio has been selected as the official red carpet host for the 2026 edition of the Ghana Music Awards USA.

The event is set to take place on August 8, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom, as organizers aim to deliver an exceptional experience for attendees this year.

The announcement, made ahead of the nominees unveiling, has been widely welcomed, with many describing the choice as both fitting and overdue.

Over the years, the awards scheme has built a strong reputation for celebrating Ghanaian music while bridging the gap between local talent and the diaspora community.

MC Portfolio, who won the 2024 Guinness Ghana MC/Hypeman of the Year, is known for his vibrant stage presence and has hosted numerous high-profile events both in Ghana and abroad. He is expected to bring energy and excitement to the red carpet as fans and industry figures gather for one of Ghanaian music’s biggest international showcases.
