GACL warns public against disputed land deals on Spintex Road

The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has warned the public to avoid all land transactions involving a disputed parcel of land on the Spintex Road in Accra.

In a public notice issued by management, GACL said the land, located adjacent to and opposite Action Chapel International, is currently the subject of an ongoing court case.

According to the company, the approximately 16-acre land is allegedly being offered for sale by Airport Logistics Limited and McDan Shipping Company Limited, both linked to the McDan Group of Companies.

GACL stated that the High Court (Land Division) delivered judgment in its favour on May 6, 2025, granting the company the right to re-enter and take possession of the land.

The company, however, noted that the McDan Group has appealed the ruling, and the matter is now before the Court of Appeal for final determination.

Despite the appeal, GACL stressed that the land remains under litigation and no party has the legal authority to sell, lease, or transfer any interest in the property while the judicial process is ongoing.

“The general public is hereby strictly advised and cautioned to desist from engaging in any land transactions, negotiations, or payments pertaining to these lands,” the statement said.

GACL added that anyone who enters into any transaction involving the disputed property does so at their own risk.

The company further stated that it will not recognise any third-party interests created during the pendency of the case and reserves the right to take legal action to protect its assets.

GACL urged prospective buyers, developers, and the public to exercise caution and verify all land ownership claims before making payments or commitments.
