Ghana has fallen seven positions in the latest Global Mining Investment Attractiveness (IAI) ranking, moving from 46th out of 82 jurisdictions in 2024 to 53rd out of 68 in 2025, according to a survey conducted by JOYBUSSINESS. Ghana’s external debt took a big dip, dropping by GH¢86.7 billion from GH¢416.8 billion in December 2024 to GH¢330.2 billion in November 2025, according to the Bank of Ghana’s Monetary Policy Report.
