Asante Kotoko have launched an investigation into alleged attempted bribery involving some players before the club’s final Ghana Premier League match of the 2025/26 season.

In a statement issued on May 26, 2026, the club said its Board and Management met with players and the technical team to review what it described as a disappointing season.

During the meeting, management also discussed reports that some players allegedly received bribery approaches ahead of the team’s final league fixture.

The club confirmed that investigations have already started to determine the full facts surrounding the allegations.

Kotoko praised Patrick Asiedu for showing professionalism and integrity after he reportedly informed management about the issue.

The Porcupine Warriors said they take matters involving integrity seriously and warned that anyone found guilty would face disciplinary action.

The allegations come at a difficult time for the club after an underwhelming league campaign that has frustrated many supporters.

Management assured fans and stakeholders that the club remains committed to professionalism, accountability and integrity.
