The Ministry of Sports and Recreation and Ghana Athletics have announced Hoshii International as a major sponsor for the 2026 African Senior Athletics Championships.

Officials unveiled the partnership at the Ministry in Accra. Sports Minister Kofi Adams said the deal will support the growth of athletics in Ghana.

“As we approach Accra 2026, we are pleased to welcome a strong partner to support the championships,” he said. He added that corporate support for sports benefits both the nation and businesses, noting that such sponsorships are tax-deductible.

Ghana Athletics President Bawa Fuseini described the deal as historic. He said it is the first time a single sponsor has committed at this level to athletics in the country.

“In the past, support came in small amounts. This is one major commitment,” he said. He added that the long-term nature of the deal makes it even more important.

Hoshii International’s Marketing Manager said the company’s flagship X1 Energy Drink is safe for athletes. The brand, he noted, is committed to health, performance, and excellence.

The company will be the exclusive supplier of energy drinks for the competition. The championships are set to begin on May 12.
