Afro-dancehall musician Stonebwoy has revealed that before music, he dreamed of becoming a soldier because of his love for discipline and structured living. In an interview about his early aspirations, the artist claimed that his early choice to enlist in the military was driven by his love of order and discipline.

He said that while careers in law and medicine are highly respected, his personal interest was in a military lifestyle. The “Jejereje” hitmaker revealed that his childhood directly impacted his love of discipline, order, and the military. “It fascinates me to be in the military. I love that because I’m one person who has grown like that. I think the influence was right there—the discipline. I love discipline, the orderliness,” he said.

He clarified that he had some difficulties with his father at the beginning of his career, but that his parents did not compel him to make any career decisions. “My parents did not actually push or force me, especially my mom. As the days went along and times were changing and I was becoming what I was becoming, I had a few hurdles with my dad at first, but it is what it is, you can’t stop what it’s supposed to be,” he added.
