Headucator fires back at Sam George over legal threats: “The Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill Will Help My Community”

Social media personality Headucator has publicly responded to threats of possible prosecution from Sam George should Ghana’s controversial anti-LGBTQ+ bill be passed into law. In a video posted online, Headucator brushed aside the lawmaker’s warnings, insisting he is unfazed by any potential legal action.

He explained how the proposed legislation may, in his opinion, assist the very community it aims to govern rather than back down. “The passage of this bill will actually help my community,” Headucator stated, without endorsing or condemning the bill outright.

Since then, the remark has generated a contentious discussion with widely opposing opinions on Ghanaian social media. While some users commended Headucator for his bravery and unusual position, others charged that he was downplaying the actual risks the measure brings to LGBTQ+ people. Sam George had earlier warned that individuals like Headucator could face prosecution if the law takes effect.

The social media star, however, seemed unfazed and advised his followers to remain composed and observe the situation. Headucator’s comments have intensified the already heated national discourse as Ghana awaits a final judgment on the law.
