President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Brazzaville to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Denis Sassou N’Guesso, who has been re-elected for another five-year term.

The ceremony, scheduled for Thursday morning, will bring together several African heads of state and high-level dignitaries to mark the official start of President Sassou N’Guesso’s new mandate.

Mahama’s trip comes just a day after he launched his flagship Free Primary Healthcare Programme in Dodowa on April 15.

His presence at the inauguration underscores Ghana’s commitment to strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations across the continent, particularly with countries in Central Africa.

President Mahama is expected to return to Accra later the same day following the ceremony.
