Highlife and Afrobeats artiste KiDi has confirmed he is no longer a signee of Lynx Entertainment. He made this revelation during an interview with blogger Code Micky on a TikTok live session, adding that he is now an independent artiste. He clarified that he left while releasing “Gymnastics” alongside Olivetheboy and Kojo Blak.

Code Micky stated that Kidi was unaffected by the well-known Lynx curse, citing his success after leaving the label as demonstrated by his performance of “Gymnastics” and his current single with Lasmid, “Signature.” KiDi affirmed the claim and remained poised to release more hit songs.

“There’s a perception in the system that when an artiste leaves Lynx they struggle to get hits but your case is different. ‘Signature’ is currently one of the hit songs in the country,” Code Micky said.

The award-winning musician joined Lynx Entertainment in 2016 after emerging winner of the 2015 MTN Hitmaker competition. Under the label, he rose to prominence with a string of hit songs including Say You Love Me, Enjoyment and the global smash Touch It. His albums Sugar and The Golden Boy further cemented his standing as one of Ghana’s leading contemporary acts, earning him multiple accolades and international recognition.

Since going solo, KiDi has maintained strong visibility on the airwaves. His latest single, Signature featuring Lasmid, is currently enjoying significant rotation across radio and streaming platforms.
