Ghanaian TikTok star and music promoter, Eugene Ananzo Junior, popularly known as Ananzo Official, has disclosed that he is yet to spend the $5,000 gift sent to him by Nigerian Afrobeats icon Davido.
In an interview with Asieduwaa Akumia on Joy Prime monitored by yocharley.com, Ananzo expressed deep gratitude to Davido for honouring his viral promise. The gesture followed a video of Ananzo passionately singing Davido’s track “With You” while working at a car wash in Takoradi, which went viral on TikTok and was eventually reposted by Davido.
“I believe God transformed himself into Davido to bless me and my team,” Ananzo remarked.
Although the funds were successfully delivered through Davido’s team, Ananzo revealed, “I have not touched the $5,000 Davido gave me. It is there.” When asked about his plans, he hinted that the public will soon hear how he intends to use it: “It will come in the media soon.”
The life-changing gift came after Davido publicly pledged the money on TikTok in April 2025, commenting: “5K US for you. OLS contact @deekay_dmw.”
Since then, Ananzo’s social media fame has exploded. His TikTok following soared from around 91,000 to over 600,000, and the viral video now boasts over 16 million views and 2 million likes, cementing his status as a rising digital sensation.
The act of generosity by Davido has been widely praised, with fans applauding him for uplifting emerging talent and staying true to his word.
