The Ashanti South Regional Police Command has arrested six persons suspected of being part of a criminal network linked to robbery and gang rape incidents in Juaso, in the Ashanti Region.

The arrests followed an intelligence-led operation conducted on January 8, 2026. The suspects have been identified as David Adusah, popularly known as Vibes; Samuel Amantor, alias Road; Andrew Odei, also called Salinco; Sharif Mohammed, known as Isco; Joseph Addo, alias Moves; and Chidi Arinze, also referred to as Orga Happiness.

A search carried out at the suspects’ residences led to the recovery of several items, including 49 mobile phone covers, a bayonet holder, a green dress resembling a military uniform, and a photograph showing an alleged leader of the group dressed in military-style camouflage.

Police also retrieved and impounded a Toyota RAV4 vehicle, which is believed to have been used during the group’s operations.

According to the police, the suspects admitted their involvement in the reported crimes during interrogation.
