Selorm Adadevoh, the chief executive officer of MTN Ghana, has been named the chief commercial officer of the MTN Group.
When Jens Schulte-Bockum’s contract expires in March 2024, he will take over as Group Chief Operating Officer of the MTN Group.
After holding positions at Millicom and Digicel, Selorm Adadevoh, the chief executive officer of MTN Ghana, has been named the chief commercial officer of the MTN Group. joined MTN in 2018 as CEO of MTN Ghana.
Following Jens’s resignation from his executive position in March 2024, Mr. Adadevoh will join the MTN Group Executive Committee, according to a statement issued by the mobile network operator.
Following Mr. Adadevoh’s departure, Stephen Blewett, MTN Operations Executive, Markets, will become MTN Ghana’s CEO.

Selorm Adadevoh, the CEO of MTN Ghana, has been appointed to the position of MTN Group Chief Commercial Officer. Jens Schulte-Bockum, who will step down as Group Chief Operating Officer in March 2024, will be replaced by Adadevoh, a Ghanaian, as part of MTN Group’s efforts to ensure an orderly leadership succession.
Simultaneously, MTN Operations Executive, Markets Stephen Blewett, will become the CEO of the significant MTN Ghana subsidiary.
Selorm is going to join the Executive Committee of the MTN Group. On March 31, 2024, Jens will leave his position as an executive. However, he will continue to serve as a non-executive director on the boards of MTN South Africa, MTN Nigeria, and Bayobab, three significant subsidiaries.

As the CEO of MTN Ghana, Selorm joined MTN in 2018. Before that, he had several important positions in the USA, UK, and Latin America at different points in his career, as well as important positions with Millicom in Africa and Caribbean mobile network operator Digicel.
Since joining MTN, Selorm has spearheaded the company’s transformation and played a key role in advancing the company’s new Ambition 2025 strategy, which aims to position MTN Ghana as a platform player. He has had a considerable influence and impact on important industry initiatives.
In July 2023, Stephen returned to MTN as the Operations Executive for Markets, where he oversaw the group’s smaller West and Central African markets and assisted the Senior Vice President for Markets with more extensive operations support throughout that region.
He was Digicel’s Chief Operating Officer before that. Before that, he worked for MTN for seven years, first as CEO of MTN Benin and later as CEO of MTN Cameroon.
