Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, a Ghanaian woman attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon, has written to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) requesting assistance.
During a press conference, Afua was asked about preparations for the event and how she would deal with ECG ‘wahala’—should it occur—in a video seen online.
The woman’s advocate stated that the singathon is well underway.
According to her, generators and UPS will be ready in the event of a power outage.
She pleaded with ECG not to take away the power during her singathon period after they announced their readiness.
Afua Asantewaa begged them to keep power for her from December 24th to the second week of January.
Asantewaa plans to sing approximately 2,300 Ghanaian songs for at least 117 hours to break the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon.
