Victoria Lebene, a well-known Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur, recently emphasized the importance of
of effective self-branding in achieving success in the acting industry.
In an exclusive interview with Rainbow Radio’s Sokoohemaa Kukua, Lebene stated that acting in Ghana
pays well depending on who is involved, emphasizing that an actor or actress can command a high salary for their work with effective branding.
According to the versatile actress, “If you do not properly brand yourself, you will not get
compensated for the work you do.” As a result, she has advised her colleagues who want to be paid well to market themselves properly.
Lebene also stated that she does not pursue every film but rather evaluates the script to
determine if it is worth her time. That, she believes, is what every actor and actress should do to advance in their careers. “I am picky about the films I make.” That is fine with me. You don’t have to watch every movie to evaluate your work.
You must have a specific class, which has worked for me. That’s how I like it.
“I will accept a good script if I come across one.” A good script has an impact on you personally. “A good script is not one in which people will claim after the film’s release that it was a repeated story or a story stolen from another film,” she said.
