Black Sherif has added another international milestone to his growing catalogue after his latest single, “Jolie,” made its debut on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart.

Black Sherif is once again carrying Ghana’s flag onto an international music chart. The Ghanaian rapper and singer’s latest song, “Jolie,” has entered the UK Official Afrobeats Chart at No. 20, marking a new achievement for the artiste as he continues the rollout of his latest project, SUN SHERIF. The song’s chart debut covers the September 13–19, 2026 tracking week, according to the Official Charts Company. It is listed as a new entry, giving it a peak position of No. 20 in its first week.
For Black Sherif, however, this is not his first encounter with the UK Afrobeats chart.
‘Jolie’ Adds Another Chapter to Black Sherif’s UK Run
Black Sherif has already established a noticeable history on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart.
His breakout hit “Kwaku the Traveler” previously reached No. 2 and spent 13 weeks on the chart, while his collaboration with Burna Boy on “Second Sermon” reached No. 8 and also spent 13 weeks. Other Black Sherif songs have also appeared on the chart, including “Soja,” “45,” “Shut Up,” “Kilos Milos,” “Lord I’m Amazed,” “So It Goes,” “Sacrifice,” “PopStar,” and “Swagga.”That history gives the latest “Jolie” entry more context. It is not simply a new song appearing on a foreign chart. It is another addition to an international run that has helped establish Black Sherif as one of Ghana’s most recognizable musical exports.
The Song Comes From His New SUN SHERIF EP
“Jolie” is part of Black Sherif’s six-track SUN SHERIF EP, released in September 2026. The new project continues the artiste’s latest musical chapter while giving listeners another collection of songs following his previous releases. The UK chart entry also comes at a time when Black Sherif’s music remains visible across Ghanaian streaming platforms. On the Apple Music Ghana chart for the week of September 22, “Jolie” was sitting at No. 14, while several other songs from the artiste also appeared in the chart’s Top 40. That includes “Expresso” at No. 13, “Forever” with AratheJay at No. 16, “Frontline” at No. 17, “Love Again” with Full Blown at No. 19, and “Run Around” at No. 20. The numbers show that the SUN SHERIF rollout is not being driven by just one song.
From Ghana to the UK
The significance of the latest achievement goes beyond the number 20. The UK Official Afrobeats Chart tracks songs using sales and streams across seven days in the United Kingdom. That means “Jolie” has attracted enough activity within the UK market to make the official weekly ranking. For an artiste from Ghana, maintaining visibility in a market as important to Afrobeats as the United Kingdom remains a notable part of building an international audience. And Black Sherif’s previous chart appearances suggest that this is becoming a recurring part of his career rather than a one-off moment.
Black Sherif’s International Story Continues
There is also an interesting contrast in the way Black Sherif’s career continues to develop. His music is deeply connected to Ghanaian experiences, language, storytelling and street culture, yet songs such as “Kwaku the Traveler” and now “Jolie” have found audiences outside the country. The latest chart result therefore adds another measurable achievement to a career that has increasingly crossed borders. It also arrives at a time when Ghanaian artistes continue to compete for attention in a wider African music market dominated by major Nigerian and international releases. For Black Sherif, the message from “Jolie” is straightforward: the music is traveling.
Whether the song can climb higher in the coming weeks will depend on how its streams and sales develop, but for now, No. 20 is where “Jolie” begins its UK Official Afrobeats Chart journey. And with the SUN SHERIF project still fresh, there could be more movement ahead.
Do you think “Jolie” has what it takes to climb higher on the UK Afrobeats Chart in the coming weeks?
