The Electricity Company of Ghana has announced planned maintenance works in parts of the Accra East, Ashanti and Tema regions.
The exercise will take place on Wednesday, May 27.
According to ECG, the maintenance works are part of efforts to improve service delivery.
In the Accra East Region, power supply will be interrupted from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Affected areas include North Dzorwulu, parts of GIMPA, New England, Obediben, Dzorwulu and nearby communities.
ECG said the outage is necessary to allow engineers to carry out maintenance works on the network.
The Ashanti Region will experience two planned outages on Wednesday.
The first exercise will run from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Areas expected to be affected include Asewase town, Aboabo Number One, Aboabo Number Two, Golden Temple, Asewase Renault and surrounding communities.
The second outage will last from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Affected communities include the Tech Commercial area, IDL, Tech hospital area, the KNUST Senior High School area and adjoining locations.
In the Tema Region, power supply will be interrupted from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Affected areas include the Seawater Desalination Plant, Maranatha, Buade, Glow Lamp, Frimpongmaa Estates, Abrantie, Dan Adams, Coastal Estates and Basket.
Other communities expected to experience outages include GCB Training School, Ataa Adama, Royal Ravico, Junction Mall, Regimanuel Estates, Parakuo Estates and Queensland International School.
Parts of Nungua, including Zongo, Township, the Traditional Council area, Polyclinic and Secondary School, will also be affected.
Additional locations include the Kpeshie Divisional Police Headquarters, Coco Beach, Main 1, Father’s Hotel and C5.
ECG apologised to customers for the inconvenience caused by the planned outages.
The company advised residents and businesses in affected communities to make alternative arrangements during the maintenance period.
ECG added that electricity supply would be restored after the completion of the scheduled works.
