Akosua Serwaa and the children of legendary Ghanaian highlife musician Daddy Lumba have publicly addressed reports suggesting tension within their family, firmly denying claims that they are in conflict with their mother.

In a statement aimed at dispelling the rumours, the family clarified that there is no feud or misunderstanding between them and their mother. According to them, recent speculation circulating on social media has been misinterpreted and exaggerated, creating a false narrative of family discord.

“We are not fighting our mother,” they stated, emphasizing that their relationship remains rooted in mutual respect, love, and understanding. The family explained that while private family matters may sometimes be discussed publicly, they should not be misconstrued as signs of conflict.

Earlier reports indicated that Akosua Serwaa, one of the musician’s surviving wives, had submitted letters of administration alongside Daddy Lumba’s sister Ernestina Fosu, and his daughter Charlyn Fosu, with the aim of overseeing the management and distribution of his properties.

They also appealed for privacy, stressing that family issues, when they arise, are best resolved internally rather than through public speculation. The statement highlighted their shared commitment to preserving family unity and honoring Daddy Lumba’s legacy.

Clarification has been welcomed by fans, many of whom took to social media to express relief and appreciation for the family’s openness. Supporters praised them for addressing the issue directly and for promoting peace and respect within the family.

By speaking out, Akosua Serwaa and Daddy Lumba’s children hope to put an end to the rumours and refocus attention on what truly matters family unity and mutual understanding.
