Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez to Host Lavish Wedding in Venice
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former news anchor Lauren Sanchez are preparing for a lavish wedding in Venice, Italy. Reports suggest the celebration could cost up to $50,000 per guest. While the event has drawn global attention, most details remain secret due to strict non-disclosure agreements signed by attendees.
The couple is reportedly relying on local Venetian vendors for about 80% of the event. These include custom pastries and Murano glass souvenirs. As a goodwill gesture, they’ve donated €1 million to support scientific research on the Venice lagoon, hoping to ease concerns from local protesters worried about disruptions in the already crowded city.
Top event planners Lanza and Baucina—famous for organizing George Clooney’s Venice wedding—are managing the celebration. Multiple venues are on standby depending on weather and protest activity. Possible locations include the Aman Hotel, Scuola Grande della Misericordia, and the Cini Foundation on San Giorgio Maggiore Island.
Bezos’ mega-yacht Koru and its support vessel are already anchored in the Adriatic Sea. Around 30 water taxis, gondolas, and several yacht ports have been booked for the event. While Venice’s airspace will be closed to drones, private helicopters may be allowed for VIPs under tight security.
Lauren Sanchez recently hosted a star-studded bachelorette party in Paris with guests like Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, and Eva Longoria—adding to speculation about the exclusive wedding guest list. Oprah Winfrey, Mick Jagger, and Ivanka Trump are also rumored to attend.
Though the exact date and venue remain under wraps, Venice is gearing up for what could be one of the most extravagant weddings in recent memory.
