Mohammed Kudus has stated that the Black Stars, like all Ghanaians, are desperate to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Ghana’s qualification hopes received a significant boost last Thursday when they defeated Mali 1-2 in Bamako. Ernest Nuamah’s second-half goals helped Otto Addo’s side win, tying them for first place in Group I with Madagascar and the Comoros on six points.

The Black Stars will be able to add three points to their total when they host the Central African Republic (CAR) in Kumasi on Monday.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Kudus stated that the team’s ultimate goal is to qualify for the next World Cup.
“The belief has always existed; that we all want to go to the World Cup. That is our ultimate goal; it makes no difference how we achieve it; our coach has his tactics, but the game can be tough at times, but we have to do our best and get the results,” the West Ham United star said

“Personally, in every game, whether in Ghana or Europe, my motive is the same: to win. We are all a team;; whether I score or anyone else scores, it’s team play. We started playing in Ghana before leaving, so there is no excuse. I do my best to get the team to win.”
