Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah, who is only one year old, has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the youngest male artist to accomplish this feat.
Ace-Liam has made a significant mark in the art world, breaking the previous record held by Dante Lamb since 2003, who was three years old at the time of his achievement.
Ace-Liam’s record-breaking journey began with a notable achievement in Accra between January 18 and 20, 2024, which led to his significant recognition.
“Ace-Liam intuitively understands which colours blend well,” shared Ms. Eghan, who first noticed his artistic inclination when he was just six months old.
Guinness World Records required Ace-Liam to participate in a public professional art exhibition and successfully sell his artwork in order to be considered for this world record.
Furthermore, his artwork had to meet professional standards, be self-created, and have supporting documentation to prove it.
Ace-Liam’s artwork was on display at Accra’s Museum of Science and Technology from December to early January, and he sold nine of the ten pieces displayed. His work piqued the interest of the First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, who commissioned a piece for the exhibition.
As this young prodigy approaches his second birthday in July, he has already sold 15 paintings and is planning an upcoming auction.
