Sam George has released a statement telling the public that the increments made so far by AirtelTigo, Telecel and MTN will all be reduced effective on 1st July,2025. This expresses the NDC initiatives to make data more accessible and affordable for Ghanaians. This effort will vindicate the minister for communication as he has faced a lot of backlash for not being able to reduce the prices in the 6 months they have been in power for.

The Minister for Communications announced a 10% increase in data bundles, but also mentioned that some bundles will be restored to their original value.
Data Bundle Changes Effective July 1, 2025
Mobile data users in Ghana will see changes in bundle pricing and value.
Telecommunication networks will increase the volume of data bundles without raising costs.
A 10% increase in all data bundles will be implemented.
Special bundles with reduced value will be restored.
Sanctions will be applied to telcos not adhering to the revised rates.
