Ghanaian singer KiDi has publicly declared that he subscribes to monogamy, saying “polygamy is not my style.”
He made the remarks during an interview on Asempa FM, where he explained that his belief in a one-man, one-woman relationship is rooted in his Christian faith and the example set by his parents.
KiDi emphasized that although his conviction is firm, he does not intend to impose it on others. He acknowledged that what works for one person may not work for another and that individuals should follow their own path.
Asked why he holds this view, KiDi said his upbringing played a major role — watching his mother and father maintain a committed relationship inspired his approach to love and partnership.
“Muslims are allowed to marry more than one; Christians are not, so I cannot say what’s right or wrong for anyone else … For me, as a Christian, I believe one man, one woman is right”, he said.
