Rising Ghanaian rap sensation King Paluta has earned an unexpected academic milestone—his hit song “Aseda” was featured in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Creative Arts and Design paper.

In a now-viral photo of the exam paper, students were asked to analyze two key social issues raised in the Aseda track. The question not only caught students off guard but also sparked excitement among fans and educators who saw the inclusion as a step forward in bridging pop culture with education.

The song Aseda—which translates to “Thanksgiving”—has been widely praised for its inspirational lyrics, touching on themes such as gratitude, overcoming life’s challenges, and staying grounded. These powerful messages likely led to its selection as an exam topic.

King Paluta, born Thomas Adjei Wireko, is known for blending deep storytelling with vibrant rhythms, and his music continues to resonate with Ghana’s youth. His inclusion in a national exam is a testament to the cultural relevance and societal value of his artistry.

The news has since taken social media by storm, with many praising the Ghana Education Service and WAEC for making learning relatable and contemporary.

“This is how you connect education to real-life Ghanaian creativity. Kudos!” one user tweeted.

As King Paluta celebrates this unexpected recognition, it’s clear his music is not only entertaining but also inspiring critical thought—now even in the classroom.
