Five suspects have been arrested by the Eastern Regional Police Command in connection with the murder of Kwadwo Yeboah, a civilian employee attached to the Ghana Armed Forces, who was reported missing at Ahyia Yeboah, near Sokode-Juaso in the Abuakwa North Municipality. Authorities have also launched a manhunt for an additional suspect who remains at large.

Residents of Ahyia Yeboah were reportedly gripped with fear following the tragic killing. Yeboah was last seen on 16th November 2025 when he traveled to Foforfo to retrieve a mobile phone. After several days of searching, his body was discovered in the Bediasi River on 25th November.

The discovery sparked anger among locals, resulting in the burning of three houses before firefighters intervened to restore calm. Police subsequently deployed a pathologist to professionally retrieve and examine the remains. The pathologist confirmed that the body had been severely dismembered, with some parts in an advanced state of decomposition. The remains were released to the family for immediate burial in line with public health protocols.
The Eastern Regional Police Command stated that investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the killing and to ensure all perpetrators are brought to justice. Some community members have urged authorities to expedite the investigation and hold those responsible accountable.
