Veteran Ghanaian media personality Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay, has credited her impressive 17-year career longevity to her deep faith and consistent tithing.

Speaking at the Women Summit 2025 over the weekend in a conversation with moderator AJ Sarpong, Delay revealed that her unwavering commitment to giving back to God has been key to her success.

“I’m not ashamed to say I tithe a lot. That’s my secret,” Delay disclosed. “Since I joined ICGC Open University, I’ve been known for faithfully tithing. I believe when you give to God, He gives back in abundance.”

Delay described her approach to life and business as a partnership with God, calling Him a “shareholder” in her ventures. She firmly believes this spiritual principle has protected her career from failure.

Aside from her faith, Delay emphasized the importance of evolution in the media space. “You have to constantly reinvent yourself. Even if it feels uncomfortable, you must adapt, especially with the Gen Z audience,” she advised.

Reflecting on her growth, she admitted her interviewing style has softened over time. “I used to be very tough with my questions, but I’ve realized that if you don’t adjust, you become boring and predictable.”

Delay’s story stands as a lesson in balancing spiritual discipline with professional evolution.
